Baby Barbarian and the Forgotten God

Created by William A Gosline as Own Goal Books

In the third issue of Baby Barbarian (a YA fantasy comic), the Berrserk family of barbarians leaves the safety of the Coldfast mountains to return a longtime guest to her family. An easy enough journey if the road south wasn't so fraught with danger....

The DYMO printer didn't work
23 days ago – Sat, May 16, 2026 at 01:03:46 PM

Everything, and I mean everything is in house right now.
I was revving and raring to go, but when I busted out my DYMO label writer,
it printed off one label (purchased through Pirate Ship) and then fizzled out.

For too long I trouble-shot and searched online for why the thing had stopped working.

Finally, I spoke to someone at the company and when I had assured them I'd done
EVERYTHING they concurred that the best course of action would be to send me a new label writer.

I'm just a one man show over here, so I appreciate your patience as I navigate the
outrageous slings and arrows of modern day technology.

The DYMO is on the way. Then the comics will be sent out

Comic Impressions has the files but the surveys are caught in Backerkit back-and-forth purgatory

Hello!

Sorry for the delay in getting the surveys out. Honestly, switching to Backerkit for my campaign has created a bumpier road than I anticipated.

I received an update from someone at Backerkit HQ and they had some more questions for me regarding the pledge surveys. It's like an incredibly complex, never-ending dance.

Having said that, I have ordered the comics and posters from Comics Impressions, the company that did my two prior campaigns. Rich Boye and his gang down in Florida are always reliable and always pleasant to work with! Thanks Rich!

Thanks again for your patience!

Rear Cover?

Hello!

Couple updates:

1) Surveys have been submitted to Backerkit HQ and should be okayed next week. Which means they will be in your inbox very soon (this is confirming your pledge, getting shipping information, and charging freight)

2) Our graphic design team (me, myself, and I) has finished the interior pages and the back cover for the book. I got some feedback from friends and family, but I'm curious what you think would be the best look for the back cover.

*if you've already voted on another platform don't worry about responding... unless you want to stuff the metaphorical ballot box*

🎉 Baby Barbarian and the Forgotten God Campaign is Finished....
7 months ago – Wed, Nov 19, 2025 at 11:39:14 AM

...Long live Baby Barbarian and the Forgotten God! 🎉

Thank you all so much for supporting Own Goal Books third crowdfunding campaign for Baby Barbarian and the Forgotten God! I'm certain that you'll enjoy the new story arc.

So many of my friends and family supported this, so I just want to give a HUGE shout out to that contingent to let them know how much I appreciate them. 🎊 Didn't someone once say something about how wonderful it is to be rich in friends?

And to the the new backers and strangers out there, thank YOU so much as well. I would love to know where/how you came to find the campaign. Please let me know if you have a chance.

Where to next?

The pages are all drawn and lettered, so the next step is to create the cover pages, other than the front cover. I would love to put everyone's name or pseudonym on the inside back cover. If you are interested, please let me know what name and/or pseudonym you'd like me to use.

Then it'll be off to Comic Impressions in Florida, who will also be printing the posters.

Again: thanks so much. You are all very wonderful! 🥳
